You&nbsp;<strong>cannot<\/strong>&nbsp;delete<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><em>who<\/em><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The man (who) George is talking to is my brother.<\/strong><br><strong>George&nbsp;<\/strong>is the&nbsp;<strong>subject&nbsp;<\/strong>of the sentence.<br><strong>The man&nbsp;<\/strong>is the&nbsp;<strong>object&nbsp;<\/strong>of the sentence.<br>(The sentence can be rewritten:&nbsp;<strong><em>George<\/em><\/strong><em>&nbsp;is talking to&nbsp;<strong>a man<\/strong>. The man is my brother).<\/em><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>So you&nbsp;<strong>can<\/strong>&nbsp;delete who.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The book you lent me is really good.<\/strong><br><strong>You<\/strong>&nbsp;is the subject of the sentence.<br><strong>The book<\/strong>&nbsp;is the object of the sentence.<br>(The sentence can be rewritten:&nbsp;<strong><em>You<\/em><\/strong><em>&nbsp;lent me a&nbsp;<strong>book<\/strong>. The book is really good<\/em>.&nbsp;<strong>Which \/ that<\/strong>&nbsp;is&nbsp;<strong>not<\/strong>&nbsp;necessary.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The book which is on the table is really good.<\/strong><br><strong>The book<\/strong>\u00a0is the subject of the sentence. (The sentence can be rewritten:<strong>\u00a0<em>The book<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0is on the table.
